Our Work

LIUNA members work in every area of the energy sector, helping to build solar plants, wind farms, and natural gas and oil pipelines, as well as, being skilled in the maintenance of nuclear and coal power plant facilities.

From solar plants in the Mojave Desert to Deep Water Wind off the coast of Rhode Island, LIUNA does it all.

Members of LIUNA are experienced Construction Craft Laborers that rely on a diverse set of skills, performed on a wide variety of jobsites.

Below are some of the types of work, LIUNA members are trained to perform:

  • On solar projects, members perform concrete work, digging footers, laying underground utilities, setting up racking systems for photovoltaic modules, manufacturing mirrors for concentrating solar power systems and assembling photovoltaic systems.

  • On wind projects, members do the work of clearing the right-of-way, assembly and erection of wind turbines, including foundations towers and site work, as well as, mason tending, including unloading, mixing, handling, and conveying of materials.
